Liebes Publikum, liebe Freund*innen, liebe Kolleg*innen, liebe (Un)learnees,

das FAVORITEN Festival macht sich bereit für eine neue Ausgabe mit Performance, Tanz, Diskurs und digitalen Showings!

Vom 15. bis 25. September zeigen wir künstlerische und aktivistische Positionen aus NRW sowie aus einem bundesweiten und internationalen Kontext. In verschiedenen Formaten widmen wir uns dem Prozess des (Ver)Lernens und Miteinander-Wachsens über Geschlechter-, Generationen- und Klassengrenzen hinweg. Das Festival findet als Hybrid sowohl im Dortmunder DEPOT, als auch erstmals online statt. 

Unter dem Motto (Un)Learning for possible futures – There can be no return to normal because normal was the problem in the first place setzen wir uns mit vergangenen und gegenwärtigen Herausforderungen auseinander:  

Wie haben die letzten beiden Jahre in der Pandemie unser Leben und Arbeiten verändert? Wie gehen wir mit unserer individuellen und kollektiven Verantwortung um, angesichts globaler ökologischer, gesellschaftlicher und politischer Krisen? Ist die Rückkehr zu einer vermeintlichen Normalität überhaupt wünschenswert?

Bereits in den kommenden Monaten laden wir Euch ein, mit uns gemeinsam auf die Suche nach unseren possible futures zu gehen.

Dear audience, dear friends, dear colleagues, dear (un)learnees,

FAVORITEN Festival is preparing for a new edition full of dance, performances, workshops and interventions:  

From 15 to 25 September, with artistic and activist positions from NRW as well as from a nationwide and international context, we dedicate ourselves in various formats to the process of (un)learning and growing together across gender, generation and class boundaries. The festival will take place as a hybrid both at the DEPOT Dortmund and for the first time online.

Under the theme (Un)Learning for possible futures - There can be no return to normal because normal was the problem in the first place, we will deal with past and present challenges:   

In which way did the last two years in the pandemic change our life and work? How do we deal with our individual and collective responsibility in the light of global ecological, social and political crises? Is the return to a supposed normality even desirable?

In the next months, we invite you to join us in exploring our possible futures.
